Unless your name is Al Gore, or you’ve bet your financial well being on the Kyoto Treaty, this is really good news. Man is not causing global warming. Period.

I’m not saying that there’s not virtue in some of the concepts of "green technology" as we know small-scale pollution has a a detrimental effect on individual cities.  The continued improvements in efficiency of cars is a good thing, regardless of "global warming."  What we cannot do is continue down the road of economic destruction that would happen if we were forced to implement the Kyoto Treaty in full.  Given this new scientific data, it should be obvious that the Kyoto Treaty (and other like it) are unnecessary and will do more harm than good.

I don’t know why it happens, but every forum and newsgroup related to classic Commodore computers (both 8-Bit and Amiga) devolve into a non-stop torrent of mudslinging, name calling, and down-right uncivilized behavior.  Over the last year and a half there had been a forum that was devoid of this childish behavior at the Commodore 128 Alive! forums.  Here I had found a group of fellow devotees to the Commodore 128 (the best 8-bit computer ever) and it was wonderful.  It was my hobbyist place of peace.  None of the usual subjects in the other forums came over to C128 Alive! and misbehaved; until now.

A few people just can’t seem to behave themselves, no matter how hard they try.  There are also people who just don’t understand that forums dedicated to specific hobbies are not the place for airing attacks on other cultures, countries and politics in general.  If I want to have a theological and/or political debate, I’ll search out the appropriate forum and have at it.  If I want to lower my blood pressure from the stress of life by partaking in my hobbies, I shouldn’t have to read stuff that is simply inappropriate for my hobbyist forums.
