Being a site owner these days is a really big pain in the @$$ when it comes to spammers. Their creativity knows no bounds, and I’ve gotten sick of seeing dozens of user registrations and comments per day being posted (luckily the comments must all be approved before they are visible). Well, now I have reCAPTCHA set up and hopefully this will stop. reCAPTCHA provides a plugin for WordPress that integrates both with user registration as well as comment posting. I’ll see how this goes and if it makes a dent in the spam then I may even open up comments to anonymous users.

That Double-Damn Recession!!!
June 29th, 2008
My goodness, will the good news never end? The first quarter GDP growth turned out to be 0.9%, not the 0.6% that our good man Obama and his hysteria-breeding media co-horts have been hailing as a “recession”. Someone, please stop this economic growth before those tax rebates hit the financial numbers in the 3rd quarter! First-Quarter Gross Domestic Product Revised Higher to 0.9% - FOXBusiness.com |

That Damn Recession!!
May 27th, 2008
We must end this “recession” immediately! The dollar is up, unemployment is down, and new home sales are up. If we continue on this path then Obama will never get elected! |

Even the WEATHER CHANNEL says Global Warming is a FRAUD.
March 14th, 2008
Look folks, the world has been conned for the last 20 years by Al Gore and his anti-capitalist buddies. I’m so, so, so, so, so glad that someone is finally going to take legal action. That "Inconvenient Truth" is about to become an "Inconvenient Lawsuit." |

OCZ Launches Brain-Computer-Interface
March 3rd, 2008
This is a cool, cool, cool new development, especially for RTS freaks like myself who think faster than we can click. If this thing provides real-time performance then it, combined with StarCraft II, could create a renaissance in the PC gaming industry. |

New Sport for Law Enforcment: Quad-Dumping
February 12th, 2008
This is one of the most baffling and disgusting incidents of police brutality that I’ve ever seen. A quadriplegic was arrested for evading arrest and while in the booking area of a Florida jail was literally dumped out of his wheelchair by a 22 year veteran of the local sheriffs department. Several questions have to be raised here: 1) How does a quadriplegic evade arrest? Did he say "look over there, it’s Superman!" and then wheel off at 7 MPH while the dumbfounded officers tried to find Superman? 2) Is "quad-dumping" a new law enforcement fad? How does someone come to the conclusion that they need to dump a quadriplegic from his wheelchair? Was he flailing his arms and legs to try to keep from being restrained? Oh, wait…. He CANNOT move his arms and legs because he’s a quadriplegic! 3) How does the deputy who did this not get arrested for assault? Is it ok for a deputy to go "quad-dumping" and only have to take an unpaid vacation? If you went out "quad-dumping" you would wind up in jail with a big guy named Tiny who like anyone with your name… a lot. 4) How do the supervisors watching this happen get paid vacation for not arresting the deputy? This lends credence to the "quad-dumping" sport theory. Yes my friends, we do indeed have ourselves a new sport amongst law enforcement. Hopefully the non-willing-participants are able to reap appropriate compensation from the communities that allow such grossly abusive behavior to happen by only punishing the offenders with an unpaid vacation. |

Players named in baseball steroid report - CNN.com
December 15th, 2007
There are a lot of former Braves on that list. And of note, each of those former Braves were either traded away or not re-signed when they were playing some of their best baseball. Is this a case of a team taking advantage of a player’s bad behavior and then dumping them before the team became "dirty"? One really has to wonder about that. Something is definitely going on in the Braves’ vaunted farm system to have so many home-grown guys wind up in the Mitchell Report. I have to say, of all those names the only shocker to me is David Justice. As a fan of the Braves, I have been baffled for years why they let him go. He was as popular as Chipper Jones when he left the team and his departure really signaled the end of the Braves’ dominance of the NL. |

Are you SURE you want to stay on the Global Warming Bandwagon?
December 12th, 2007
After years of the media’s incessant cries of global warming, the over-hyping of Al Gore’s scientifically bankrupt “documentary”, and the ignoring of scientists who speak the truth we finally are starting to see public acknowledgement that the climate models used by the environmentalist activists are fundamentally flawed and don’t even work when applied HISTORICALLY, much less for predicting the future. |

Do you want to stay on the Global Warming Bandwagon?
November 15th, 2007
For years, the only thing that scientist could agree upon was that the Earth is actually warming up, and now we know why. TG Daily - Arctic ocean currents shown to affect polar climate more than global warming Unless your name is Al Gore, or you’ve bet your financial well being on the Kyoto Treaty, this is really good news. Man is not causing global warming. Period. I’m not saying that there’s not virtue in some of the concepts of "green technology" as we know small-scale pollution has a a detrimental effect on individual cities. The continued improvements in efficiency of cars is a good thing, regardless of "global warming." What we cannot do is continue down the road of economic destruction that would happen if we were forced to implement the Kyoto Treaty in full. Given this new scientific data, it should be obvious that the Kyoto Treaty (and other like it) are unnecessary and will do more harm than good. |
